For our R&D team in Aalborg, we are seeking a Tonmeister. As part of our highly skilled audio research and development team, you will be finding new ways to use your Tonmeister skills to make superior audio quality in consumer products.

We are seeking a Tonmeister with experience for assessing and tuning audio products. In addition, having an irrepressible passion for innovation of audio technologies.

As a person you like working in an international environment and enjoys travelling and learning new cultures. You can conduct you work in a customer/supplier relationship. You are outspoken and have good social skills. You communicate and document effortlessly in English.


You have a Master’s degree in Tonmeister or equivalent or higher. Depending on your background and professional skills, the following competences will be considered as qualifications for the position:

  • Experience in tuning audio products.
  • Experience in testing and using loudspeakers, loudspeaker systems and amplifiers.
  • Experience in acoustic measurement techniques.
  • Experience in working with complex audio signal flows, including equalizers, compressors, limiters, delays.
  • Good knowledge in digital audio signal processing for efficient communication with the rest of the team.
  • Any professional experience in the following fields is a plus: Loudspeaker development, cellphone, Hearing aid, Gaming industry or Automotive.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, mainly to China.

Goertek Europe R&D is owned by Goertek Inc. in China, which is one of the major players providing electro-acoustic solutions in the B2B market. As a highly competitive R&D team, we push the boundaries in audio digital signal processing. Today we are 13 people based in Copenhagen and Aalborg (R&D).

You will be a part of a R&D team of 10+ people in Aalborg (the former AM3D R&D). The office is located at Alfred Nobels Vej 21E, 9220 Aalborg in the NOVI science park (NOVI 6). The work environment is open minded and innovative. We work as a team to reach our goals. We strive to develop state-of-art and cutting-edge audio solutions to be used in audio products such as smart speakers, headsets, sound bars, cars etc.
